Melanie Rolfe is a psychology and play researcher specialising in paediatric chronic illness, cancer, and palliative care. She holds positions at Queensland University of Technology and Palliative Care Australia, working on projects across national data collection, transition from paediatric to adult services, and co-development of trauma-informed psychosocial support and resources for parents of children with brain tumours. Melanie led the consumer engagement workshops for the paediatric palliative care National Action Plan and is working on a statewide service model for paediatric health in Victoria. Melanie is interested in the embedding of everyday trauma- and attachment-informed practices in paediatric healthcare services and systems.
