Karly has recently submitted her PhD thesis through La Trobe University researching Eastern Palliative Care Inc.'s (EPC) volunteer facilitated Biography Program. Through her research she articulated the programs underlying philosophical approach, provided a brief history of the program, and explored the research participants experiences of the program. Encouraged by her narrative research approach, she also transformed some of the participants experiences into performative scripts telling their stories of palliative care and the Biography Program. Her research focus was formed through experiences as a lecturer in art, lifestyle assistant in aged care, lecturing in the Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle, and being a visual artist.
