Presentation Description
Institution: Rosehaven - Vic, Australia
Rosehaven Hospice is 5-bedroom home set on 4.5 acres of established gardens. We are a non-clinical model of care, that provides advocacy, support, and education to our community, providing a home away from home for respite and end of life care.
We work in with our local hospital district nursing service, that provides the clinical care for our guests. We are positioned opposite the local hospital, walking distance to both of our doctors' clinics and to our main street.
We have a team of 70+ volunteers, including 4 death doulas, 1.4 staff and 7 directors that sit on our voluntary board.
We are a registered not for profit charitable organisation that is funded through philanthropy, donations and bequests and supported by the Mansfield community.

Our model of care is designed from recognising the service gaps in our local community, having the knowledge of how over stretched our health services are, and looking at ways in which we can work holistically with quality end of life outcomes for everyone.
Benefits
