After the neonatal/palliative care death of my first born daughter Emma in 2011 I have used my lived experience to help advocate for other bereaved families within our health system and the wider community.
I currently serve on several Stakeholder Advisory Groups and have partnered with The Centenary Hospital for Women and Children Neonatology Department, the Australian National University bereaved mothers and breastfeeding, University of Canberra Midwifery and as a consumer consultant for Palliative Care ACT and the Paediatric Palliative Care National Plan.
I was very privileged to participate in sharing the research project “ Developing an educational resource for neonatal staff caring for a dying baby and their family: an experienced based co-design” as the parent lead on the project at the 2019 Oceanic Palliative Care Conference.
I am honoured to be able to share at the 2023 Conference
I am very happy to be contacted and share experiences, insights, contribute to research, and guest speaking opportunities.
