Professional Bio
After a rich career in oncology and rural nursing, Rose Sexton currently works for the Hume Region Palliative Care Consortium as the Aged Care Palliative Liaison Nurse for East Hume, and with the community palliative care team at Northeast Health in Victoria. This role supports, strengthens, and empowers the Aged Care workforce to deliver high-quality palliative care to our aged care residents in the region.
She also holds a casual educator position with QUT, presenting the Reverse PEPA Aged Care programme.

Music and the arts have been a constant thread through her life and she has been performing with Salvation Jane over a span of more than thirty years, focussing on bluegrass acappella singing, and music that means something. She also presents a one-woman play about Advance Care Planning and healing family relationships at end of life (“The Last Waltz”).
Rose is a passionate death literacy advocate, community educator, and end-of-life doula, and is the secretary of the Natural Death Advocacy Network of Australia.
