Michael Kidd is an Australian primary care and public health researcher, medical educator, author, and clinician leader. Michael has a joint appointment as Professor of Global Primary Care and Future Health Systems at the University of Oxford, and as Director of the Centre for Future Health Systems at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael served as the Principal Medical Advisor and Deputy Chief Medical Officer with the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, and as Professor of Primary Care Reform at the Australian National University in Canberra.
