Professor Lovell is a Palliative Medicine physician, senior staff specialist  with HammondCare in Northern Sydney. She is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and Adjunct Professor at University of Technology Sydney. Her clinical practice includes palliative care in the community for people living at home or in residential aged care. Her research expertise includes implementation research and she is involved in projects implementing systems and training in residential aged care to identify people at risk of dying in the next six months, monitor and assess their needs, and respond using evidence based strategies.
