Professional Bio
Meg has a Graduate Certificate in Specialist Grief Counselling and Intervention (Grief Aust/ACGB) and degrees in Social Work and Science. She is working as the clinical lead of the Bereavement Team at Melbourne City Mission Palliative Care, based in the north and western metropolitan areas of Melbourne. For the past 8 years she has provided specialist grief and bereavement support to carers and families, run group support programs, education sessions for the bereaved, and contributed to broader network and sector issues eg. Voluntary Assisted Dying webinars, grief and disability training, COVID deaths in aged care settings, raising awareness of community palliative care in Muslim communities etc. Meg has also been employed in areas such as support after suicide, sibling and young carer support, road trauma, foster care and facilitated a myriad of group programs. She is currently a committee member of the Loss and Grief Practitioners Association Vic, and has previously been on the board of the National Association of Loss and Grief Vic.
