Leonie Iskov RN has worked as Palliative Care Consultant nurse with rpavirtual/Sydney District Nursing for the past 10 years. She completed a Grad Dip in palliative care from Flinders University in 2013 and was part of improving the standards of care within the organization with regular   reporting to PCOC. She developed an interest in the provision of bereavement care aware that it is not a standard of care that is currently reported to PCOC. She completed further studies with the Australian Centre for grief and bereavement. This research ‘Carer grief-related needs  in community palliative care nursing’  became the focus of the need to improve the grief-related needs of carers and the capacity of nurses to address those needs.
