Kristine Flint

PhD Student and Clinical Social Worker

Professional Bio

Kris completed a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (Honours I) with a Minor in Health and Ageing in 2017.

Commencing her PhD part-time in mid-2020, Kris' thesis aims to explore how palliative care family meetings are conducted, how they function, and how they interact with the broader network of palliative care in an Australian context.

As a social worker, Kris practices full-time within a tertiary Brisbane Hospital. Working predominantly in oncology, Kris remains focused on understanding the psychosocial needs of individuals and families living with cancer, and more specifically, their experience of dying.

Kris is currently writing up her final analysis with the aim of completing her thesis next year.
