Karina Chan is a clinical neuropsychology registrar across two Sydney hospitals providing assessment and treatment for individuals with a range of neurological and neurodegenerative conditions. She is also a researcher in healthy brain ageing and was awarded the APS Prize for her honours thesis in psychology. Her interest in palliative care stems from her experience caring for her palliative father throughout her adolescents and young adulthood. This has developed into a passion for providing person and family centred care in her clinical practice.
