Senior Lecturer in Nursing Faye Davenport
Senior Lecturer in Nursing - UCOL/Te Pukenga
Professional Bio
I am a Senior Lecturer in the Nurse Education Team at UCOL/Te Pukenga in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
I have worked in nursing education full-time since mid 2006. I am mostly involved in teaching first year nursing students in the Bachelor of Nursing programme. Prior to that I worked in Oncology care (radiotherapy clinics, inpatient and outpatient oncology service).
My areas of interest are palliative and end of life care (quality care until death). I am particularly interested in how nursing students are most effectively prepared for their first experience of patient death.
Outside of nursing I am an ordained Deacon in the Anglican church.
I really enjoy travelling around in my motorhome.
