Emma McNamara began her nursing career as a trainee enrolled nurse and has over 32 years of nursing experience, working with patients and families with palliative and end of life care needs. During her career she has worked in many settings, from being an Intensive Care retrieval nurse, hospice and community palliative care nursing. Emma has always relished in professional development and growth.
Emma is passionate about learning and collaboration, and enjoys being able to bring clinicians together, supporting and building capability in the generalist and specialist Palliative and End of Life Care workforce. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes and supporting people and their families as they navigate through a dynamic illness trajectory.
Emma enjoys good humour, loves laughing, gardening and swimming in the ocean.
