Professional Bio

Claire Marshall RN (BSc), MPalliative Care, PhD. Candidate (University of Technology, Sydney), is an experienced palliative care and cancer nurse who has worked across acute, community and rural settings. The majority of Claire’s clinical practice took place in the tertiary paediatric setting in Western Australia (WA), prior to moving to academia in 2016. Claire is currently undertaking her PhD investigating how to optimise palliative care delivery for people located in rural areas. Claire has also recently worked for the Cancer Council (WA) developing a palliative care capability framework for rural nurses. Works from Claire's PhD, and the capability framework, are being presented at the conference.
