I am a Registered Nurse working in Palliative Care with a background in preceptorship and mentoring of nurses and students in a wide variety of New Zealand nursing environments. I have previously been an academic tutor for students while they were on clinical placements.   I have recently completed a Masters in Professional Practice with a thesis which explored the experiences of seven nursing students who experienced the death of a patient while they were in a clinical setting.  I live and work in the wider Wellington area, and I have an eight year old son.
