General Registration Conditions
Any registration that is unpaid when the registration amount enters the next price level will automatically be increased to that rate.
By registering for 23OPCC, attendees agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Palliative Care Australia (PCA).
- Images captured during the event through video, livestream and/or photo to be used in promotional and commercial materials, publications and on related websites.
- Contact information to be included in newsletter lists and any further correspondence for future conferences.
- Contact details to be provided to confirmed sponsors or exhibitors of 23OPCC.
- By registering, attending or viewing this event, registrants and attendees agree not to rebroadcast, re-transmit, record or share any of the content of this event without express written permission from the conference organisers. The conference organisers reserve the right to reject and refuse any registrations and attendance at this event for any reason and at any time.

Where personal information is disclosed by a presenter or any participant in any event, PCA shall only use that personal information in accordance with the PCA privacy policy.
By submitting a registration online, you agree to pay for the conference in full whether or not you attend any or all of the event(s), unless negotiated otherwise with the management of 23OPCC and PCA Limited.
Registering to attend the conference delegates will acknowledge and understand that this may change and failure to comply with any restrictions that might be in place could affect their ability to attend the conference. We will, of course, update this if there are any changes.
If your personal circumstances change, or health or family issues arise and you are unable to attend, please contact us immediately to discuss.
Payment information
All prices are stated in Australian Dollars [$AUD] and are excluding GST. Payments will only be accepted in Australian dollars.
GST Tax Invoices will be issued via the online platform once registration is complete (www.oceanicpallcare.com).
All conference registrations must be paid in full prior to the conference. Your registration will not be confirmed until full payment has been received. Payments must be paid via credit card on website or via EFT as per instructions on invoice. All invoices are to be paid as per terms of invoice. No payments can be made over the phone.
Credit card payments made via online platform will receive a merchant fee of 1.9% in addition to the outlined registration prices.
Cancellation and withdrawals policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to opcc@arinexgroup.com and will be subject to the below requirements. No refunds will be given for non-attendance but substitute delegates are welcome if notification has been made in writing.
COVID-19 Safe Plan
The International Convention Centre Sydney in conjunction with Palliative Care Australia Limited (PCA) is working to ensure the 2023 Oceanic Palliative Care Conference is a COVID-safe event. The health and wellbeing of all participants is our priority.
Entry of event will be subject to any conditions set at the time of the conference by the COVID-19 Safety Framework introduced by the NSW State Government and Australian Federal Government.

Registration at the conference also confirms delegates acknowledge the need to adhere to any restrictions relevant to COVID restrictions at the time and that COVID-19 guidelines are subject to change.
Behaviour and Code of Conduct
PCA is committed to providing a Conference which is free from discrimination by reference to unlawful or irrelevant attributes, including but not limited to, religion,
race, ethnicity, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and age. All delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and those associated shall behave in a civil and appropriate manner and not unlawfully, bully, sexually harass or discriminate against any person involved in the conference. PCA reserves the right to refuse admission to any participant who fails to uphold or promote PCA’s value of diversity and inclusion.
All delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and those associated with 23OPCC must not engage in offensive or inappropriate behaviour at or during the Conference, including but not limited to by wearing or otherwise displaying any commercial, political, religious, or offensive signage or logos. Verbal disruption of the Conference is not permitted either in disruptive verbal or written communication between or towards delegates/speakers or during presentations at the event. PCA reserves the right to refuse or cancel a conference registration or admission (either pre-Conference or onsite during the Conference), to any participant who fails to uphold appropriate and professional behaviour, in the opinion of PCA.
Contravention:
Without prejudice to any other rights which PCA may have, if you contravene any of these Terms or Conditions, you may:
- be refused entry to, asked to leave, or be removed from, the venue;
- have your registration/ticket confiscated and/or cancelled without refund or recompense;
- be disqualified from purchasing tickets for or entering into other events organised or affiliated with PCA.

PCA reserves the right to:
- evict any person from the Venue and the Conference if they are in contravention of any of these Terms and Conditions;
- refuse or reject any registration, whether paid or unpaid, if PCA reasonably suspects that the prospective attendee or delegate does not intend to act in the best interests of the Conference, not uphold or promote PCA’s value of diversity and inclusion or acts inappropriately or disruptively, in the opinion of PCA.
- evict any person from the Venue and the Conference if they are in contravention of any of these Terms and Conditions;
- refuse or reject any registration, whether paid or unpaid, if PCA reasonably suspects that the prospective attendee or delegate does not intend to act in the best interests of the Conference, not uphold or promote PCA’s value of diversity and inclusion or acts inappropriately or disruptively, in the opinion of PCA.
Disclaimer
All best endeavours will be made to present the programme as displayed on the conference website. 23OPCC and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the conference, for any cause beyond its reasonable control.
23OPCC, PCA and its agents are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, 23OPCC and the conference organisers do not accept responsibility for loss of monies caused by delays and/or cancellation. Delegates are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The conference does not cover individuals against cancellations of any bookings or theft or damage to belongings.
Visas and quarantine
Delegates travelling from overseas may be required to obtain a visa before travelling to Australia. You should apply for your visa not less than two months prior to your departure. Failure to obtain a visa will not be accepted as grounds for refund of any fees or other costs paid to the conference. Australia has strict quarantine regulations that are enforced at all international airports and other points of entry into Australia.

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel insurance and medical insurance prior
to the conference. The policy should include loss of fees through cancellation of your participation in the conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters the meeting secretariat cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates. Nor can the secretariat take responsibility for injury or damage to property or persons occurring during the conference or associated activities. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.
Indemnity
Should, for any reason outside the control of PCA, the Venue or speakers change, or the Conference be cancelled, PCA will endeavour to reschedule the Conference. In this instance, you will indemnify and hold PCA harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. PCA does not accept responsibility for, and the delegate indemnifies PCA against, any costs, charges or fines incurred by the delegate in the process of attending the Conference. Agreement to these Terms and Conditions indicates acceptance of this indemnity.
Force majeure
PCA will not be liable to the delegate for any loss suffered, nor be in default under these Terms and Conditions for any delay, failure or interruption resulting directly or indirectly from industrial action, blackouts, fire, war, terrorism, civil or military unrest, explosions, earthquakes, floods, labour disputes, acts of God, epidemic or pandemic (such as the COVID-19 pandemic) or any other event or cause beyond the control of PCA, or if the attendance at the Conference is adversely impacted by any of the causes nominated by this clause. In all such circumstances PCA shall be entitled to retain all payments paid by the delegate. An event under clause will not affect or prejudice the right of the PCA to pursue outstanding payments owed to PCA by the delegate.
