Maria Osman (M.ED GAICD) is a gender and diversity consultant based in Perth, Western Australia, with over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive policy and strategy adviser in the private, public and community sector in the areas of gender, human rights and multiculturalism. Maria has always combined her senior roles with grass roots advocacy with migrant and refugee women.

In 2015 she was appointed by the Australian Government as the official delegate to the 59th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York.

Maria is a board member of the Humanitarian Group, the National Harmony Alliance for Migrant and Refugee Women, the Minister for Multicultural Interests’ Advisory Group, the Premier’s Supporting Communities Forum and more recently a member of the Western Australian Ministerial Expert Panel on Voluntary Assisted Dying Legislation.
