Invited Panellist - Panel: Oceans of Opportunities: Living, ageing and dying with Dementia

Diann Bates was formally diagnosed with Younger-Onset Alzheimer’s four years ago at the age of 47, after she started noticing symptoms almost 5 years earlier.  Before her diagnosis Diann ran her own marketing business, and she has utilised her creative talent to devise “tips and tricks for survival” using Apps and planning tools to make her life easier. Diann shares these workarounds with other people diagnosed with dementia through Alzheimer’s WA’s Advocates Program. As a Consumer Advocate, Diann regularly speaks at events on behalf of Alzheimer’s WA and shares her experience with others to help create awareness and understanding.
